About the Role
TalentPop is looking for a Video Editing Training Specialist to train and coach newly hired and current team members in professional video editing and digital content production. This is a hands-on training role for an experienced video editor who enjoys helping others develop their technical and creative skills. You’ll lead live training sessions, guide trainees through practical editing assignments, evaluate their work, and provide feedback to prepare them for client-facing work.
Responsibilities
- Host TalentPop video editing training sessions via Zoom and facilitate topics included in the training program
- Train newly hired team members on video editing workflows, tools, guidelines, and resources relevant to their roles
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to current team members to maintain and improve their editing skills
- Conduct Onboarding Week training and assess trainee performance throughout the program
- Conduct individual and group training sessions covering video editing and digital content production
- Create and facilitate practical editing exercises, assessments, and activities
- Review trainee videos and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Evaluate trainees and collaborate with Team Leads to support their continued development
- Create and update training materials, guides, and lesson plans based on role requirements
- Teach trainees how to follow creative briefs, brand guidelines, content requirements, and client expectations
- Help trainees improve editing workflows, storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio, captions, and overall video quality
- Stay familiar with current video editing tools, formats, and content trends

Qualifications
- At least 6 months of training, coaching, mentoring, or facilitation experience
- 1–2 years of professional video editing experience
- Experience training or coaching video editors is strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating professional video editing and digital content work
- Experience creating short-form video, social media content, advertisements, or e-commerce content
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing tools
- Strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions, audio, and visual consistency
- Knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing content is preferred
- Graphic design or motion graphics experience is a plus
- Experience using Trainual or Loom is a plus
